Summer is here - consider fostering a pug!

There are so many homeless pugs coming into rescue. It is sad that the economy has made it hard for people to keep their precious pets with them. APARN never wants to turn away any pugs, but it is getting harder and harder due to the need for foster space. If you love pugs and want to help, if would consider fostering a pug, even just once, it would really help! Lots of pugs that come to rescue are healthy and ready to move on to their forever home, so they don't stay that long in foster care. Y… Continue

My puggy is a morning person!!!

Apparently, every morning since I've gotten my baby (who is 2) he has woken up at 4:50 and started crying. I am guilty of not hearing this until my boyfriend starts yelling at him to be quiet. I take him out every morning at 6, and at least 4 or 5 times at night. What works to stop the behavior? I don't want to reprimand him unless I know it will help. Throwing a blanket over his cage like a bird stops it for a little. Maybe isolating his crate in another room? (He's in the kitchen now). Help!
